Congratulations to my friend: Lilo for her soleminzation ceremony later today.
Hiya.. I've been neglecting this blog. Been busy lately, till I have no time to update my blog.
It's clear to me that Voxers are some of the most environmentally conscious and creative people out there, which is why I wanted to tell you about Six Apart's “Green by Design” contest. All you have to do to enter is create a Green Badge with an earth-friendly design and/or message.
In April, I told you about a few Green Badges we created for your blogs, and said that when the badges reached 100,000 impressions across the blogosphere, Six Apart would donate $1000 to The Climate Project. Well, as of June 1st, we surpassed that goal by nearly two million impressions. Needless to say, a check is in the mail!
When we realized how many of you were adopting the Green Badges, we thought it would be cool if we came up with a contest that allowed you to put your creativity to good use and make your own Green Badges.
Like the previous badges, the winning badge will link to the One Million Acts of Green brought to you by Cisco website. One Million Acts of Green is a collaborative environmental campaign encouraging everyone to go green. One act at a time. The goal? One million acts of green because, as we all know, we’re more powerful together than we can ever be apart.
Each weekly winner will also receive a one-year subscription to MailStopper, a junk mail stopper service provided by Tonic. Plus, we will donate $150 to a charity in the winner’s name. (For a list of charitable organizations the winner can choose to donate to, please see the contest rules.)
Two runner-ups each week will receive an honorable mention, as well as a one-year subscription to MailStopper.
Plus, when the badges receive a million impressions (and we know they will!), Six Apart will donate another $1000 to The Climate Project.
Here’s what you need to know in order to submit your design:
- The Submission must include a positive environmental message.
- The Submission must be in the JPEG file format.
- The Submission must be 160 x 90 pixels in size at a resolution of 72 dpi.
- The maximum file size of the Submission is 500 kilobytes.
- The Submission must be accompanied by an email address.
- The Submission and each element thereof must be the original work of Participant.
Please email your entry to badgecontest@sixapart.com and don't forget to include your Vox user name and your email address.
There's still time to get your entry in for this week's judging! We're accepting entries until end of day on Friday. If you aren't able to submit by this Friday, don't worry: There's another week left in the contest. The deadline for submissions is June 25, 2009 at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Winners will be announced on Everything TypePad; however, if a Voxer wins, we'll also announce it here, of course.
View all contest rules here.
GOOD LUCK!

For the last two and a half years, we've been providing you with two daily prompts to inspire you when your fingers are frozen on the keyboard: The QotD and Vox Hunt.
We've noticed in the past year or so that while most of you love to answer the Question of the Day, fewer and fewer of you have been responding to the daily Vox Hunts. In fact, it seemed that, if anything, the Vox Hunt was taking away from the Question of the Day, rather than complementing it, as intended. Because of that, we've made the tough decision to remove Vox Hunt and focus solely on the Question of the Day.
We understand that change of any kind is never easy, but rest assured: while Vox Hunt is going away, the ideas and challenge associated with Vox Hunts will still remain, only now you'll find them within the QotD. From time to time, QotDs will ask you questions that encourage you to add media associated with your answer (photos, music, videso), just like the Vox Hunt did.
We hope that by combining the two, we will succeed in inspiring even more people to answer the QotD and in bringing the Vox community together by prompting you to share your vast array of opinions and stories (and the media associated with them) on similar topics.
Today is the last day for Vox Hunt, so take a moment to say goodbye by showing us whatever it is that makes you happy.
If you have any questions or thoughts about this... or anything, you can always send me a message.
Until next time...
Since yesterday, badan ku inda nyaman rasa. Monday was dragging for me. Ada rasa mcm kn demam, u know sakit leher apa.. Panas dalam rasanya. So, I went to the taklimat. *bagi malas* Sat there for 2 hours listening to how judge olahraga.. Aku ani bukan jua sport kind of person. Mcm few terms in olahraga which I am not sure. But, overall it was ok lah.. At least ada experience jadi hakim.

argh~~~~ I had the terrible headache all day. Since last night. I took pain killer but the pain won't go away. Today, it came back and torturing me all day. I think it was because, I looked the computer screen all morning. Was doing my lesson plan. Alhamdulilah, I managed to get my Lesson plan for week 19 done.
It had been a while since I last blog. It showed that I am pretty busy with school work and married life. But I am pretty much busy with school work.
Today, I brought my pupils to the Pertandingan Pendidikan Keselamatan Jalan Raya. Supposedly the ICT teacher is the one who should be in charge But since I came for the taklimat last month. So I have to handle the thing. *nyasal ku mau kena suruh dtg taklimat* Anyway, it was ok lah. Just that I don't like buat the preparation doing powerpoint show using Macbook. Paksa ku belajar ni and amai2 tangan using the Macbook. The pertandingan went well lah, though my school didn't get through. It was a great experience for the pupils and me. Tapi tadi atu, menunggu batah berabis.. Imagine 15 schools competing. Yatah kelaparan menunggu. They don't have break in between which they should. Teachers have to wait till 12 baru tah ada lunch kena sediakan. But good experience for me lah.
Last week, I attended social studies workshop. Felt like coming to lecture as the speakers was lecturer from UBD and she was my ex-lecturer. I told her, it's like deja-vu.. The workshop was ok. Ganya they should conduct the workshop earlier, ani kan setengah tahun udh, bru tah kn mengajar cara membuat LP.
Starting next week 21st May till 13th June, I'll be attending IC3 course in Bandar. I heard about this course from colleague in previous school while I was still a relief teacher. I heard them complaining about attending the course everyday! Which can be tiring. Now it's my turn to attend the course and feel how they felt. *sigh* But bagus for my one hundred hours *just notice that the o in the keyboard rosak* Luckily I am in the same group with me friend Za.. Baik jua ada dangan tu...
Emmm... oh yeah another thing. I have this thing from the Unit mempromosikan kesihatan. They want teachers to give talk to pupils about the proper way of washing hands using soap. We were given a task to conduct in school. Survey questions is given to pupils. Then me have to prepare report based on the survey. It's like UBD all over again!
Will be giving the talk on Saturday to hundreds of pupils. *sigh*
Anyway, better get going now. Sleepy dah eh..

Earth Day was founded to inspire awareness and appreciation for our
environment, and while today might be the official Earth Day, at Vox, we believe that every day is new opportunity to help make our
planet clean and healthy. That’s why we’ve partnered with Cisco to
promote the One Million Acts of Green website.
One
Million Acts of Green is a collaborative environmental campaign
encouraging everyone to go green one act at a time. The goal? One
million acts of green. Because, as we all know, we’re more powerful
together than we can ever be apart.
That’s where you come in. We’ve come up with a few easy ways to inspire you to help the planet because we truly believe that every act of green makes a difference.
Here’s how you can do your part:
1. Adopt a Green Badge for Your Blog & We Will Donate $1000 to The Climate Project
We created four green badges for you to choose from (you can see one of them on the right). Each badge links to the One Million Acts of Green, brought to you by Cisco website. By putting a badge on your blog, you’ll not only be spreading the message of the importance of going green, you’ll be participating in an environmental campaign that will impact the world forever.
Plus, when the badges receive 100,000 impressions across the blogosphere, Vox's parent company, Six Apart, will donate $1000 to The Climate Project.Visit Everything TypePad to learn how to add a Green Badge to your Vox blog.
2. Answer today’s QotD
We want to know: How could you better “green” your life? What’s holding you back?
Taking the time to share what you're already doing, as well as thinking about what you could do better going forward, will hopefully be not only an inspiration to you, but to everyone in your neighborhood.
Thank you for every act of green you perform on a daily basis to make this world a better place. Because when we all do one act, we act as one, and help the planet. And that is what today, and every day, should be about.
